FAQ

Restaurant Marketing Questions, Answered

The questions restaurant owners actually ask us — about marketing, search, Google listings, AI content and what working with us involves.

Questions

Restaurant marketing, generally

It handles the work that brings guests through your door and orders to your kitchen: making sure you appear when people search for food nearby, keeping your Google Business Profile accurate and active, producing food photography and social content, running paid campaigns, and replying to reviews. Plate Push Marketing & Automation Services FZC does this for restaurants only, rather than splitting attention across unrelated industries.

Mostly by making you findable at the moment someone decides where to eat. Ranking in Google Maps for the dishes you sell, having current photographs, answering reviews and keeping your information accurate all affect whether a person choosing between three nearby options picks you. Paid campaigns add reach on top of that, but the local visibility is the foundation.

It depends far more on your stage than on your revenue. A new outlet with no reviews and no search history needs to invest heavily in foundations and paid visibility for the first few months. An established restaurant with a strong profile often needs less spend and more consistency. We will tell you which you are during the audit.

Google Business Profile work usually moves first — profile views, calls and direction requests often shift within four to eight weeks. Organic rankings for competitive terms build over months. Paid campaigns produce data immediately but need a few weeks before the targeting is worth trusting.

Both. Independent restaurants and cafés usually need to be found locally and to keep content going consistently. Multi-outlet groups need every branch listed correctly, reviewed consistently and marketed as one brand. We have managed profiles for restaurant groups with dozens of outlets.

Yes. Each outlet gets its own accurate listing and local content while brand presentation stays consistent, with reporting per branch so a drifting location surfaces early rather than after the rating has fallen.

Questions

SEO and local visibility

It has two halves. On your site: a structure search engines can crawl, pages for the dishes and cuisines you sell, fast mobile performance and correct structured data. Off your site: an accurate, active Google Business Profile, consistent business information across directories, and reviews. For restaurants the second half usually moves first, because the map pack sits above the organic results.

Start with the listing rather than the website. Claim and complete your Google Business Profile, choose the most specific accurate primary category, add your full menu with dish names, upload real photographs regularly and reply to every review. Then make sure your website has a crawlable menu, a page per outlet and fast mobile pages.

Local SEO decides whether you appear in map results and "near me" searches for people physically nearby. General SEO decides whether pages rank in the classic organic results regardless of location. For restaurants, local SEO usually drives more covers.

Yes — it is one of our core services. We have optimised and managed over 100 profiles for restaurants and cafés, covering categories, menu, photos, posts, hours, reviews and reporting.

Not on organic authority for broad terms — aggregators have too much domain strength. You can appear above them in the map pack, which sits higher on the page and which they cannot occupy. That is the realistic target.

Questions

Where we work

Yes, across Marina, JBR, Downtown, Business Bay, JLT, DIFC, Deira, Bur Dubai, Karama, Al Barsha, Mirdif and the rest. We are based in Sharjah, which for most of Dubai is a shorter journey than crossing the city.

Yes — it is our home market. Plate Push Marketing & Automation Services FZC is registered at Business Centre, Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, and we work with restaurants across Al Nahda, Al Majaz, Muweilah, University City, Rolla and Al Taawun.

Yes, across Abu Dhabi Island, Reem, Maryah, Yas, Saadiyat, Khalifa City, Al Raha and Mussafah. Most of the work is remote, with visits arranged for larger engagements and new outlet launches.

All of them — Ajman, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain each have their own page explaining what marketing a restaurant there actually involves, because the markets differ substantially.

The UAE is our primary market for local search and agency work. AI food photography, creative design and video are used by restaurants internationally, since that work is not geography-dependent.

Questions

Content, AI and creative

Yes. We turn photographs of your own dishes — usually taken on a phone in the kitchen — into finished, consistent visuals for menus, social media, Google Business Profile, delivery apps, websites and advertising.

Yes, deliberately. We work from photographs of dishes you actually serve rather than generating imaginary food. A guest who orders from a picture should recognise the plate that arrives.

For menu-wide coverage, delivery listings, frequent updates and keeping a profile and feed supplied, it is faster, cheaper and more consistent. For flagship brand campaigns where atmosphere and art direction carry the work, a professional shoot is still the right choice. Many restaurants use both.

Yes — strategy, content production, captions, scheduling, publishing and community management. Food photography and creative are produced in-house, so you are not asked to supply images.

Three to four times a week on Instagram, with stories more frequently, plus a weekly Google Post. Consistency matters more than frequency — a steady three posts a week beats daily posting that collapses after a month.

Questions

Working with Plate Push Marketing & Automation Services FZC

We review your Google Business Profile setup and categories, your Maps rankings for your main dishes, your reviews and reply rate, your website's local SEO basics and your social consistency, then send you the findings and recommendations. You keep those whether or not you work with us.

Only ones we can evidence. Our case studies set out the problem, the strategy, the execution and the creative, and describe outcomes in terms we can stand behind. Inflated percentages are easy to print and impossible to check, which is exactly why so many restaurants have been sold them before. Our own aggregate numbers are published openly, and they are our team's cumulative work to date across every market we operate in rather than any one market: 100+ Google Business Profiles managed, 10,000+ reviews handled, 60+ restaurant brands supported, and 100% client retention to date. Our story page explains exactly where those figures come from.

No. It violates platform policy, risks your profile being penalised, and produces a rating that does not survive contact with reality. Every review programme we run is based on asking genuine guests at the right moment.

Yes. Some clients have someone handling social and want us on search, listings and reputation. The important thing is that responsibilities are clear so nothing falls between the two teams.

That is often the right answer, particularly for smaller restaurants. We will scope a focused piece of work rather than pushing an open-ended retainer that does not fit.

Specialisation and repetition. Restaurants are the only industry we work in, our team has more than seventeen years of marketing and leadership experience, and it has optimised over 100 Google Business Profiles and handled more than 10,000 customer reviews to date. On top of that we build our own software — ReplyReviews and Plate Push Studio run in production — so when a workflow is inefficient we change the tool rather than bill for the hours.

Questions

Our software, SaaS and automation

Both, in one team. Plate Push Marketing & Automation Services FZC runs restaurant marketing — local SEO, Google Business Profile management, advertising and content — and it is also a restaurant SaaS company. The ReplyReviews dashboard, the ReplyReviews Chrome extension and Plate Push Studio are our own products, built and maintained in-house and used by our account managers every day.

A restaurant marketing dashboard that handles review management, AI review replies, Google Business Profile management, social publishing and marketing automation across every outlet from one place. It is the platform our own team runs client accounts on, which is why the roadmap follows real problems rather than a feature list. It has its own site at replyreviews.com.

It puts AI review replies inside the browser. You answer Google reviews where you already are, without opening a dashboard or copying text between tabs, and every reply stays editable before it publishes. It shares an account with the full platform.

An AI creative studio for restaurants. It turns photographs you already have — usually taken on a phone during prep — into professional food imagery, social creatives and advertising visuals, sized for each placement. It is what our team uses to keep restaurant content going out on a schedule instead of in bursts.

Yes. ReplyReviews is self-serve at replyreviews.com and is used by restaurants and by agencies managing restaurant clients, with no other relationship with us. The managed service is a separate decision, for operators who would rather hand over the daily workflow than own it internally.

The recurring work: review replies, Google Posts, social scheduling across outlets, keeping profile information and menus consistent, and per-outlet reporting. Automation handles repetition, not judgement — a serious complaint, a brand decision or a campaign concept still goes to a person, and anything sensitive is escalated rather than answered automatically.

Questions

Websites, apps and software

Yes. We build fast, mobile-first restaurant websites with crawlable menu pages, per-outlet pages, direct ordering and booking routes and proper structured data. Because the same team handles your search and advertising work, the site is built for how it will actually be marketed rather than handed over and forgotten.

Yes — branded iOS and Android ordering, loyalty and delivery apps, built from a single cross-platform codebase so both stores are covered at roughly the cost of one. We handle store submission, and because we are also a marketing team we plan the install and adoption campaign before the build rather than after launch.

Multi-outlet reporting and operations dashboards, POS, delivery, payment and accounting integrations, marketing and review automation, menu and content management systems, franchise and partner portals, and internal tools that replace manual spreadsheet work. If an existing product already solves your problem, we will tell you to buy it instead.

We build it. ReplyReviews and Plate Push Studio are our own products, live in production and used by restaurant brands daily — covering AI review replies, Google Business Profile publishing, social scheduling, AI image generation, menu management and credit-based billing. The engineers who maintain those are the ones who would build your project. Nothing is outsourced.

Yes. Code, data, infrastructure, documentation and app store listings all belong to your business, and we hand over full access. We build on standard, well-documented technology specifically so another team could maintain it if you ever chose to move.

For repeat customers, yes. Aggregator commission in the UAE typically runs 25–35% of order value, and your regulars are being charged at that rate too. Direct ordering on your own site or app moves that volume off a commission model. It does not replace the aggregators, which are genuinely useful for discovery — it takes the expensive half back.
