AI food photography

Transform Simple Food Photos Into Stunning, Restaurant-Quality Visuals

A photo shoot costs a day of kitchen time, a photographer's fee and a two-week wait — and it is out of date the next time the menu changes. AI food photography turns a phone photo taken during prep into an image good enough to lead a campaign.

  • Phone photos in, campaign-ready visuals out
  • Menus, social, Google, delivery apps and ads covered
  • New dishes photographed the week they launch
  • 60+ restaurants supported by our team with AI-driven visuals

Food photography is the single highest-leverage asset a restaurant owns online. It decides whether someone scrolling past stops, whether a delivery app listing gets tapped, and whether a Google profile looks like somewhere worth the drive. It is also the asset most restaurants have least of — because a proper shoot is expensive, disruptive and immediately outdated.

AI food photography changes the economics of that. We take the photographs you can produce in a working kitchen — taken on a phone, under service lighting, on the pass — and turn them into finished visuals with controlled lighting, clean composition and consistent styling. The dish is yours; what changes is the presentation.

What we produce visuals for

  • Restaurant menus — printed menus, menu boards and digital menus where every dish needs the same visual treatment.
  • Social media — Instagram feed and Stories, Facebook, TikTok covers, in the correct dimensions for each placement.
  • Google Business Profile — the photo feed that Google surfaces above almost everything else on your listing.
  • Delivery apps — Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, Noon Food and your own ordering page, where the photo is the entire product page.
  • Websites — hero images, menu sections and landing pages.
  • Advertisements — Google Ads and Meta Ads creative in every required aspect ratio.
  • Promotions — offers, seasonal campaigns and festival creative through AI creative design.

Where AI photography fits, and where it does not

It is the right tool for menu photography at scale, for delivery app listings, for keeping a Google profile and social feed supplied with current images, and for getting a new dish photographed the week it launches rather than the quarter after.

It is not a replacement for a proper shoot when you are producing brand photography for a flagship campaign, when the atmosphere and the people matter more than the plate, or when a hospitality group needs a defining visual identity built from scratch. We will say so when that is the case rather than selling you the wrong tool.

We also work from your real dishes. The output is a treated photograph of food you actually serve, not a generated image of a dish that does not exist on your menu — a guest who orders based on a picture should recognise what arrives.

Consistency is the real advantage

A menu where twelve dishes were photographed on six different days, under different light, at different angles, looks amateur even when each individual photo is fine. Working from a defined style — the same lighting treatment, the same surfaces, the same crop logic — produces a set that reads as one restaurant. That consistency is difficult and expensive to achieve with conventional shoots spread across months, and it is close to free here.

The full creative toolset lives in Plate Push Studio, which you can use directly or have our team run for you.

What you get

What changes when your visuals are good

Delivery listings that get tapped

On a delivery app, the photo is the product page. Better images move a dish up the effective consideration list.

Days, not weeks

New dishes get visuals in the same week they launch, so promotion never waits on production.

One visual style across everything

Menu, social, Google and ads all look like the same restaurant.

Cost that scales with the menu

Photographing forty dishes costs a fraction of what forty dishes cost through a conventional shoot.

How we work

How it works

Send what you have

Phone photos of the dishes, taken however you can — during prep, on the pass, in normal service light. No styling required.

We set the style

Lighting, surfaces, angle and mood agreed once, so every dish in the set matches.

Production

Each dish enhanced, composed and delivered in the sizes you need — menu, square, portrait, story and ad formats.

Review and refine

You approve the set. Anything that does not look like your food gets redone before it goes anywhere near a menu.

In practice

How restaurants use AI food photography

Photographing a full menu at once

Forty or fifty dishes shot on a phone across two services, returned as a consistent set for menu, web and delivery platforms.

Keeping a Google profile supplied

A steady flow of new images every month, which Google surfaces prominently and guests read as a sign of an active restaurant.

Launching a seasonal menu

Ramadan, summer or festival menus visualised before the period starts, so campaigns launch on time.

Cloud kitchens with no dining room

Where there is no interior to photograph and no atmosphere to sell, the food images are the entire brand.

Multi-outlet consistency

Every branch presenting the same dish the same way, instead of each one uploading its own photos.

Replacing supplier stock images

Generic stock photography of a dish you did not cook is worse than no photo. Your actual food, presented well, always outperforms it.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We turn photographs of your own dishes — usually taken on a phone in the kitchen — into finished, consistent visuals for menus, social media, Google Business Profile, delivery apps, websites and advertising.

It is better at some things and worse at others. For menu-wide coverage, delivery listings, frequent updates and keeping a Google profile and social feed supplied, it is faster, cheaper and more consistent. For flagship brand campaigns where atmosphere, people and a distinctive art direction matter, a professional shoot is still the right choice. Many restaurants use both — a shoot once a year, AI for everything in between.

Yes, and that is deliberate. We work from photographs of the dishes you actually serve rather than generating imaginary food. A guest should recognise the plate that arrives.

Ordinary phone photos are fine. Good natural light and a clear view of the dish help, but we work with images taken under service conditions. There is no need to close a section or set up a shoot.

A typical set is returned within a few days. A full menu takes longer depending on the number of dishes, but it is measured in days rather than the weeks a conventional shoot and edit require.

Yes. Delivery platforms are one of the most valuable places for them, and we deliver files in the dimensions each platform expects.
